Challenge:

Lifecycle flows were under-leveraged with outdated content, little to no cross-selling, siloed platforms, and weak revenue-per-recipient performance. Total Gym Fitness wanted to boost the performance and profitability of its lifecycle automation program, which had become outdated and inconsistent. With growing send volumes but flat engagement, their campaigns weren’t efficiently converting intent into purchases. The brand sought to improve open and click rates, recover abandoned carts and sessions, and stabilize revenue performance across both campaigns and flows. Solution:

CCC rebuilt Total Gym’s automation ecosystem with refined segmentation, creative hierarchy, and timing logic. The new lifecycle suite—spanning Browse Abandonment, Checkout Recovery, Welcome, and Order Tracking flows—was designed around customer behavior data to deliver contextual messages that re-engaged users at high-intent moments. CCC also overhauled the campaigns to align major sends with user intent and lifecycle stage while introducing structured themes prioritizing sales events (e.g., Evolve August, Fall Sale, LDW, Summer Clearance) to align messaging rhythm with user intent. Repositioned creative to elevate perceived offer value while trimming fatigue through strategic suppression. Benchmarked metrics against industry medians to isolate optimization levers.

Results:

Within 90 days, CCC increased automated flow revenue by 104.7%, boosted revenue per recipient by 387%, and grew campaign revenue by 16.4%. The Browse Abandonment flow alone generated $41.9K in attributed sales with 99.8% deliverability, proving the efficacy of the new engagement model.
